My Adventure
On the 31st October 2009, I set off from my home in Paderborn Germany, to under take the 21 day challenge to "Everest Base Camp" in aide of "Help for Heroes" taking with me a special designed flag, Embroidered with all the names of our "Fallen Heroes" in Afganistan and Iraq, the flag was raised and a small service of Rememberance was held, and the flag was left to fly, at the place the local people call "The place of Memeories" I followed the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay to the Base Camp of Everest, the worlds highest mountain
Trekking: up to 9 hours a day, Altitude 2623-5545
My next challenge for 2010, is to have a permanent monument built over looking Everest Base Camp, to honour our Heroes, and to raise as much funds as possible for "Help for Heroes" and " Afghan Heroes" and to fund the building of the monument
please keep checking back for more updates, or if you would like to get involved, and help me fund raise, please contact me at glenblease@yahoo.co.uk

Watched a documentary last night on the BBC "wounded" about 2 young soldiers road to recovery, after horrific injuries, sustained in Afghanistan, one had lost both legs and his left arm, the other both his legs and eye sight, there attituide, strength, and determination, was amazing, just goes to show what our soldiers are made off, and that is just 2, of how many....I don't know, we don't have the numbers of our wounded, only lives lost, and that is bad enough

anyway, been busy for the past week filming the making of the flags, which we hope will be finished by the end of this week, had a interveiw with German media on friday, lots of pictures taken of the flag, and will be in all the main German papers this week, and also in the Stars and Stripes, the American paper, still trying to raise the funds for Stephen Pennels and Phil Coombes, to come and film at Everest, this will be great if I can achieve this, so the families will have a record, but it is not made easy, by certain people, but thats life.
